Mole Cricket
Recorded in Etowah, N.C. - July, 2009
Mole crickets are thick-bodied insects with large eyes and shovel-like forelimbs which they use for burrowing. Nocturnal, they spend most of their lives in extensive underground tunnel systems and are rarely seen.
